Spiritual First Aid - Training and Certification

Our world is stressed and hurting — especially right in our own backyard. People around us need spiritual and emotional care. Learn how you can be a spiritual first responder on the front lines. Jesus taught us to love and serve our neighbors. Discover how you can be the empathetic, helping presence He called you to be.  

Join us at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church to learn Spiritual First Aid™ (SFA), a simple, Biblically based framework for emotional and crisis care. This important training workshop by our friends at Lutheran Church Charities will be on Friday, October 2, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. (afternoon session) or 6:00-9:00 p.m. (evening session), with snacks at both sessions. The training concludes the next day, Saturday, October 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with lunch served about noon and refreshments provided all day. All sessions take place at Gloria Dei in Houston.

The registration fee is $25, and the training is designed for new SFA members and as a refresher for those who are already certified. To earn SFA certification, you must attend BOTH sessions of the training. (This means that you must attend one of the Friday sessions and all of the Saturday session of the training.)
